A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the official website of the Village of Massena. This Web page was created to introduce the Village to you. It is our hope that local residents, as well as future residents and/or businesses, find it useful.

I believe good communication is essential if we are to properly serve the public. This Website reflects the Village’s ongoing efforts to communicate effectively with the people of Massena, to provide up-to-date information for online users, and to keep up with the technology available to us. This website will be an ongoing project, and its form and function are intended to expand over time. 

Through this website, we intend to be ever more accessible to you, thus establishing an important new avenue of communication.  It is our goal to build an information resource available to you 24/7 that will answer all your questions about local government and our community.  We welcome your comments and suggestions to help us achieve that objective.

Still, the opening of this website cannot compete with personal contact. The four Village Trustees and I are committed to listening to the voice of the community and providing opportunities for your voice to be heard.  One opportunity is the Village Board meetings.  Near the start of every meeting there is time reserved in the agenda to allow residents to address the Board.  And as always, each of us are more than willing to meet with citizens individually or in groups to answer your questions and listen to your concerns, comments and suggestions. Your feedback will help us to better represent you.
 
The goal of the Village of Massena is to provide quality services, programs and facilities in the most cost effective and efficient manner to all citizens of the community, to preserve Village history and tradition, and to foster a partnership with all members of the community.  Through the participation of citizens in our government and our partnerships with the business community, we will work together to keep Massena a great place to live, work and play.
