Town of Massena Airport

The Massena International Airport, also known as Richards Field, is a public airport located two miles east of the village and offers commercial / commuter air service through Cape Air. Flights connect customers in this Northern New York community to Albany 3 times per day, as well as flights to Boston’s Logan Airport.

In 2005, a dedication and open house was held for a newly constructed Massena International Airport terminal. Owned by the Town of Massena, the airport covers over 475 acres and has two runways. Airfreight, charter, limo, courier, and overnight express, as well as full service for jet aircraft refueling are among the services offered by the airport. VOR, ILS, and RNAV navigational approaches are featured for the runways. It averages more than 3,100 enplanements (passenger boardings) annually.

The Massena International Airport is also a U.S. Customs Port of Entry for planes entering the United States from Canada or other foreign countries. A one-hour advance ETA notice is required for unscheduled flights. These can be called in to 315-769-3091.
