What is there to see and do in Massena this week? This season? Throughout the year?

In addition to the many annual events presented by the Massena Chamber of Commerce, we have a tremendous number of active community groups and schools that will fill your days with festivals and your evenings with music.

The 2005 World Carp Championship has put Massena on the international map as hundreds of anglers converge to fish the mighty St. Lawrence River to catch some of the largest of this great fresh water fish. Recognized in Europe as the premiere destination for Carp and Muskie fishing, Massena welcomes anglers and their families for days or weeks of fishing fun with everything they need for a relaxing fishing getaway – including supplies, boats, charters and guides.

Massena – once the home of the original outhouse races – really knows how to throw an old fashioned party with block dances in the streets of downtown, firemen’s field days with all the flair of a hometown fair, classic car cruise ins, and celebrations of our heritage.

Fourth of July fireworks blazing the summer sky, Friday evening concerts in the park, Syracuse Symphony under the band shell and musical productions by the Massena High School thespians that will knock your socks off … events that make our community such a rich and wonderful place to live.
