Tech-Prep

The Tech Prep Program is a collaboration among Massena (NY) High School, St. Lawrence University and several Massena-based corporations -- ALCOA, Inc., the New York Power Authority (NYPA), the St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, Massena Electric, and others. The Massena businesses and agencies involve 11th and 12th grade students in job-shadowing and research projects to enhance their motivation for college-level work in business, technology, and community development.

BOCES

The Board of Cooperative Educational Services is a regional public education cooperative which functions in New York State as an extension of the local school districts. The St. Lawrence-Lewis BOCES serves over 20,000 students in 18 school districts, preschool through grade 12, as well as hundreds of educators and community members.

Colleges & Universities

Clarkson University - Located in Potsdam, NY, Clarkson is an independent, nationally ranked research university offering comprehensive programs in business, engineering, science, liberal arts, health sciences, and physical therapy.

St. Lawrence University - Located in Canton, NY, the mission of St. Lawrence University is to provide an inspiring and demanding undergraduate education in the liberal arts to students selected for their seriousness of purpose and intellectual promise.

SUNY at Canton - The State University of New York College of Technology at Canton is a public, coeducational, residential college located on a spacious campus along the banks of the Grasse River. Located in Canton, NY, with a satellite office in the St. Lawrence Centre Mall.

SUNY at Potsdam - SUNY Potsdam houses three academic schools: The School of Arts and Sciences, The Crane School of Music, and the School of Education & Professional Studies.

Training & Extended Studies

CITEC, Inc. is a not-for-profit manufacturing and technology assistance center. CITEC provides training and consulting in the following areas: financial analysis, e-business, marketing, telecommunications, human resources, lean manufacturing, production line assistance, and new product line development.

St. Lawrence County One-Stop Career Center - The mission of the St. Lawrence County Workforce Investment Board, as a partnership of private and public community resources, is to ensure the economic vitality of our county by building and maintaining a quality workforce development system that strengthens and provides economic, educational, and developmental opportunities for all citizens and employers.
